Classes & Groups

Women's Summer Bible Study | Jeannette Brennan | Avon Campus

Find encouragement to live a bold, faithful life! Join us this summer for a five-week Bible study entitled “The Faithful: Heroes of the Old Testament."

In this video and discussion study, we’ll explore crucial moments in the lives of five Old Testament people: Esther, Gideon, Malachi, Nehemiah, and Hosea. Through their stories, we’ll see how God uses the lives of ordinary people for His glory and the good of His people. Strengthen your faith as you walk alongside these larger-than-life figures who all chose to obey God no matter the circumstances, and discover how these heroes of the faith all point to Jesus! Book cost is $15. Childcare available.

We meet Mondays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. through July 29.

Mothers of Preschoolers | Meg Pascucci | Avon Campus

This community features great speakers on topics such as strengthening your marriage, improving your mothering skills, growing in your faith, and fostering meaningful friendships. Invite a friend! We always have great food, hot coffee, and lots of conversation around the table. MOPS meets from September to May, roughly every other Monday, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 206. There is a $58 fee for MOPS International dues and craft materials. Childcare available. Starts in September.                     REGISTRATION COMING SOON!

Moms Bible Study | Heather James | Avon Campus

Moms Bible Study equips and encourages women with biblical principles to be the women God designed them to be. With large-group Bible teaching and small-group Bible discussion around tables, we’ll get to know one another as we grow together.  All women are welcome. Please join us! We meet every Wednesday from September to May, 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Precept | LuAnn Turbiak | Avon Campus

Galatians - Who Has Bewitched You? Why and How?
As the Gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the Gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Galatians clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage. Starts September 10. REGISTRATION COMING SOON!

Community Bible Study | Avon Campus

CBS will study Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers starting this fall. These books of the Bible tell the story of how God delivered His chosen people, the Israelites, from Egyptian slavery and established them as a new nation. But these books are not just history. They also tell the story of God’s faithfulness to weak and sinful people like us. Biblical themes covered that help in spiritual growth include, doubt and faith, complaining and grace, crisis and intercession, and failure and repentance.

Community Bible Study meets from September to May on Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. To register, email Kathy Zirolli or call 860.673.8852. Starts September 12.
