Welcome to Valley Community Baptist Church. We are one church in multiple locations with campuses in Avon and Bristol, CT. Our mission is to honor God and grow in Christ by worshipping God, equipping believers, bringing people to Christ and serving our neighbors. We would be honored to have you join us

There are communal dinners on most Saturday and Tuesday evenings at the Avon Campus. We also meet as small groups and classes throughout the week.  We look forward to meeting you.

Bristol: 718 Pine Street, Bristol Connecticut. We meet at Greene-Hills School in Bristol.

Children & Students

We encourage families to worship together on the weekend, and then choose children's programs and communities for middle school and high school students. During the week, we offer age-specific clubs and gatherings for children, middle school and high school students

There are also special events like summer camps, student retreats and the family summit that will help children and parents grow in their relationships with each other and God.

At Valley Community Baptist Church, we value knowing the truth of God and obeying His Word. Senior Pastor Jay Abramson is the lead teaching pastor. We invite you to listen to the latest sermon series.

World Outreach Week

Saying is Believing: March 16-24

This year’s theme captures the modern missions use of “orality,” which refers to reliance upon the spoken word for communication. Orality is an ancient phenomenon that obviously continues to this day, including “oral societies” that pass along important information from generation to generation without putting anything in writing. They rely on the spoken word, including its sung and chanted forms.

Even in highly literate societies, technology is driving more people toward using voice and photos to communicate, rather than written text. The world now has the same access to cell phones as it does working toilets! So, even in cultures where people can read, a growing number of people prefer forms of communication that don't require reading.

Faith Promise Giving 2019

Rescuing abandoned kids in the Caribbean. Reaching Muslims with Christ’s love in the Middle East. Restoring hope among the poor around the world and in Connecticut. This is what your Faith Promise Giving accomplishes every year. There’s no endowment for World Outreach. No special reserve fund. We support 40 missionaries and 10 agencies with whatever Valley attenders give. It’s that simple – and that vulnerable. Without Faith Promise Giving, fewer kids are rescued. Fewer non-believers are reached. Less hope is restored. Our goal is 100 percent Valley participation! So even your small Faith Promise will help reach our goal. Will you participate? Pray about Faith Promise Giving and learn more at our March 23-24 worship services at all three Valley locations.

Our Faith Promise Giving partners reported these average combined results last year:

56 people per day became followers of Jesus

24,000 people per month who were in need received humanitarian aid

6 new churches were started each week
