Relive The Gift

Revisit the Stories and Songs!

We hope you enjoyed The Gift. Your encouragement and support meant so much to the cast, musicians and volunteers who served tirelessly to put on a great show.

Now the show is over ... sort of. For the people who became followers of Jesus during this time, a new life has begun. For others, this reinforcement of their faith will resonate throughout this Christmas season. And some of you will have new questions and unresolved ones after seeing The Gift. To quote from the song: "What if they're right? What if they're wrong?" We pray that you will continue asking these questions with a heart open to what God might be saying to you.

We hope this page helps you to relive, remember and rejoice in The Gift all year long.

About the verses: The links below are to a site called Bible Gateway, but we also encourage you to read them yourself in any Bible. Many of the events mentioned here are also covered in other books in the Bible, and most of the selected verses include the larger context of the scenes presented in The Gift.

About the songs: Various versions of most of the songs in The Gift can be viewed for free on YouTube. The links below are to specific versions on YouTube, utilizing an original recording when possible, and include lyrics on the video. Is Your Answer "Yes"?

The Gift is now unwrapped, and only a question lingers: Will you accept God's free gift of forgiveness, salvation and eternal life?

Pastor Jay Abramson spoke after the performance about this decision — the most important one you'll ever make. The Lord's Prayer ("Our Father ...") includes asking God to forgive our trespasses, or sins, or debts — all meaning the same thing in the original Greek. So we all have a debt to pay. And the Bible says that there's only one way to pay that debt. There's only one "legal tender" for our sins: Jesus' blood and death on the cross.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. -- 1 John 1:9.

If you're ready to say "yes" you can do so right now! You don't have to be in a church or in the presence of a pastor. This is about your relationship with Jesus. If you'd like some help, here's a "yes" prayer from Pastor Jay Abramson. If you do so, would you let us know? We'd love to celebrate this life-changing news!
